Default By land or by sea?

Do you prefer to fish in a boat, in the water itself, or from dry land? I am okay fishing from something like a pontoon, but I just don't feel comfortable fishing from small boats.

I fish from my kayak and enjoy it greatly. I enjoy from shore with friends, but do not find it as fun. I would love to get on a boat though for things like grouper. Just need someone to donate a boat now.

I'll fish next to the water, on the water, or in the water.

Hi...

From land, or from a small boat on a lake or river...either one is fine with me.

NOTE:

"Pathfinder", who is now posting on this forum, is NOT Pathfinder1, which is me...!!

I only went fishing once, in a small boat out in Monterey Bay. It was pretty fun at the time, but since I now tend to get seasick, I doubt I'd have as good a time.

I will be trolling from a canoe later this week. It is one of my favorite ways to fish because it is so stealthy and quiet. Small boat proficiency is easy to obtain but takes some minimal practice. relax.

I love canoe trolling. A lot of the waters are so weedy here it's just not viable. I tried it the other day from my Sea Eagle and though the weedless rig was working well it was still just bumping along 2" below the surface on top of a wall of millfoil.

The few times I do fish its always by land, for some reason I like the idea of being on a boat to relax and not "work". Take it out on the lake, do some swimming with a little skiing.

I fish from the shore, in my canoe or kayak, or wade, as necessary. When I was fishing for salmon in Quebec, I did all three on the same trip.
