Default Now what? recipes

So now that we are all fishing and catching fish, what is the best way to cook the fish we catch? I keep telling my son and hubby that it’s too much work – for the little meat you get on the fish. Your favorite fish to eat and the best way to cook it?

My favorite way is in a fish fry that someone else makes! Seriously though, yes it's a lot of work for little meat. We like to grill ours with lemon pepper seasoning. We cook pretty much anything we catch.

Fresh trout fillet with lemon pepper seasoning is to die for.

Grilled, pan fried, blackened, foil wrapped and cooked on a fire. I always check with anyone fishing to see if they are doing catch and release and beg for one and offer to cook some for them if they don't know how. Nothing better than right out of the water!!!

I like fried fish and I also like fish that's been pocket cooked in aluminum foil with lemon slices and garlic. Mmm. Good stuff, especially like rockin says, if someone else has made it.

It may be a lot of work for a little meat, but keep in mind most fish are extremely healthy for the body. So, even though it doesn't seem like it, you are getting more out of it than you might know.
