Oh wow A fold up coffee can, I wondered if someone had thought of something like that. LOL

I take it you haven't see the gallon coffee can with holes punched it it. It's a contained fire just as good as the propane things everyone puts in there packs.

You know if you turn the big tank up side down the liquid propane will flow into the small tank not just the gas. And hopefully it will last a little longer.

Being that you still enjoyed your outing means you didn't need all of those extras to have a good time.

You call it bush craft skills, I'm a hunter so I call it woodsmanship. I not only have to know how to take care of myself & equipment but what the animals in the woods are doing or going to do because of me being there.

If you are just getting started in hunting it would be good for you to take a hunting education course. Many states offer them.
