My wife and I are not new to camping but we need a new tent and are looking for any suggestions for tents that are better for using a "cot". Unable to sleep on ground anymore due to back problems we camp with cots. We only car camp in improved camping sites and need a tent with enough room for two cots maybe four and storage space. So something spacious and durable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy camping. P.S. we live in central Texas and camp only in the fall, winter and spring.
Have you ever thought about a Tent Cot? Something like this? http://reviews.cabelas.com/8815/516987/cabelas-deluxe-tent-cot-double-reviews/reviews.htm Another thing is your price range. Not sure if something like this would be in your budget. http://www.amazon.com/PahaQue-Wilderness-Promontory-Tent-8-Person/dp/B007LNVIH8 Should give you plenty of room, but I do not like square walls if you camp in a windy area.
We would like to thank everyone for their input and suggestions! We have found and purchased a tent from Trek, the model 245c 9'x12' canvas tent. So far very impressed with this tent. Plenty of room and a level of quality that should last for many years to come. The floors are very heavy canvas and are rubber coated as well as the roof. The walls are a heavy canvas material with a coating on the inside, large low windows with heavy zippered covers on all walls for a lot of ventilation. The included rainfly is coated with a silver reflective material to reduce heat build up inside the tent and add an extra protection against rain. Purchased from: http://cdn.opentip.com/Sports-Outdo...AqkKACaywWRxluEumpWkADEuyt6mmkI5-waAhOV8P8HAQ very pleased with the initial setup in the backyard!!! went up in only 15min, will post photos in the near future from our first camping trip!!!! Thank you all!
