Jumped in my ole jeep to head over to a fishing hole for some bank fishing fro catfish and the horn flew apart and started blowing. After some profanity and some duct tape I got it back together. The lil round cover and come off and I had a hard time finding the spring thats posed to be under it. Finally found it under the seat and had to put a strip of duct tape on it to hold it in position its a tricky 3 handed job to get it back together and after fiddling with it for 15 minutes It finally dawned on me to dis conect the battery it was blowing on and off chattering and every once and awhile and I kept getting shocked as I tried to puzzle it together. DOOOOOH I popped the hood and took the batery cable kept working a neighbor walked over and said "I was wondering if you were gonna think of that" With him holding my multi tool on one side and me holding my ole timer in one hand I was able to push the cover on and give it a turn locking it in place. It's always something aint it.
This one is rather surprising. When electrical stuff goes haywire, the first thing you do is pull the plug, open the circuit, cut the feed, hit the kill switch, cut the wires. Are you sure you weren't sipping before this happened?
Honestly I wasn't drinking. Maybe it was the Lords way of keeping me from going sit by the bayou. It clouded up soon after and the bottom dropped out. Just kinda didn't think to pull the battery it wasn't like I was messing with electricity in my mind it was the metal round thing ya push to blow the horn. it didn't occur to me to disconect it till later.
