Well...I guess that's it. Summer has come to an end - but it was a good end for me. We explored the Kawartha Lake district around a tiny little place called Coboconk. We had lots and lots of rain and the evening temperatures dropped a tad more than expected. But the food and company were excellent and worth the trip just to eat so heartily and meet up with a friend.

3629 Balsam Lake on a choppy, rainy day. What were we thinking?

We each had our own base camp and tried to outdo one another in the main meal of the day. Yep...that's a stove/oven you see and solo lighting for the night.
Surprising how many socks and underwear one goes through on a twelve-day trip. The hiking trails were an added pleasure. At this time of the year, there are not a lot of people out.

An oven? Cool. I also see a percolator basket behind the oven.

Looks like you had a great time.
