It got up to 60+ degrees yesterday, and we were eager to get the canoe out. Plus I needed to clean the dust and cobwebs off. I leave my canoe sitting on the strong back that I built it on, so all I had to do was roll it out to the trailer.IMG_20211204_103352243~2.jpg We went to our local lake to put in. This time of year the lake is drawn down several feet. TVA claims it's drawn down in anticipation for heavy spring rains. Lots of triceratops and T-Rexs. We wanted to paddle out to some islands for a little exploring, but there were lots of fishing boats out there so we decided to stay away from that area. we had a few islands closer inland that we enjoyed exploring and picking flint stone, and I think a geode. I don't like when they drop the water, it looks awful but it's great for rock hunting. It's getting darker and the clouds were looking heavier so we headed in.

Wow, you built a stunning looking canoe! I feel a great accomplishment when I can make my bed...you build a beautiful canoe. It's true, life isn't fair! Lol!

Getting out all year is important.
We had a warm dry fall. We prayed for rain and snow. Now it is cold and wet we could not be happier about it.
The wall tent is set up in the back yard, but it is frozen.
Going to work with horses today with a high about 35 degrees.
Rain and snow likely for the next two weeks.
Giddy up.
