I am going camping this weekend - only have a propane table-top grill and the campfire to cook on. Any suggestions beside the usual hamburgers and hotdogs ? Thanks.
You could try something like ribs, or chicken. Legs and breasts of chickens are good. I like cooking corn on the grill. Just take off the hair and cook it in the leaves so you don't burn the corn.
A friend of mine takes some of the frozen bread dough and lets it thaw and raise. She soaks some sticks and she twines the bread dough around them and everyone puts theirs in the campfire to cook them.
I've seen some exotic food kits and mixes in the Mountain Co-op store, like a mix for focaccia bread.
I've cooked frozen mussels on a BBQ in a metal pie plate once to use them up during a power outage. They were delicious, but I'm not sure if you could keep them frozen till you needed them if you were out camping for a while.
