Liquid Fuel Stoves for Camping

There are few things in life that can bring you as close to nature as camping. Putting yourself out in the elements, sleeping in a tent with nothing but a sleeping bag between you and the earth just seems to be one of the most rewarding experiences. Perhaps the best part about camping is the detachment from the hustle and bustle of the world we all live in. There are no business meetings, cell phones tying us down or other responsibilities weighing us down. Even though camping is generally done to get away from electronic devices and other technology, there are some things that are a real necessity for all campers. One such thing is a liquid fuel stove.

When camping, there are very basic things that are needed; food, shelter and clothing. Shelter is often supplied in the form of a tent or other structure that you choose to sleep in for the duration of the camping venture. Clothing is usually satisfied by whatever you decided to bring along with you. The general need for food and sustenance can be met by bringing items that do not require heating or preparation, but there is always a need for cooking meat and eggs and such. If you decide you would like to live off of prepared foods that do not need refrigeration, then a stove is still a necessity. Campers that plan to spend any extended amount of time in the wilderness know that water is the most important thing the body needs. In the event that you do not bring enough water for your trip, you will need to boil water from a lake or stream. There are minerals in this water, as well as the carcasses of dead animals and their waste, that you will not want to consume. This is where boiling the bacteria out of the water is essential.

Many campers opt to go with a campfire to satisfy this need to prepare foods and boil water. This is certainly an acceptable alternative to a fuel stove such as a propane stove. The problem with relying on a campfire is that you can not control the elements, and often rain and wind can make it near impossible to maintain a campfire. This is where it is wise to have a portable liquid fuel stove at your disposal. Really it would be irresponsible and unwise to go camping without this kind of a device.

Fortunately, these liquid fuel stoves are very compact, and are simple to pack along with the rest of your camping gear. Many of these stoves come with reserve tanks for the fuel, and it is to your advantage to try and bring a tank or two more. There is nothing worse than being out in the middle of the woods and running out of propane for your stove, especially in bad weather. Preparation is the most important thing to do when camping, and there is no reason why anyone should be left in the outdoors without the proper equipment.

When camping, you want to be relaxed. The goal is to get close to nature, to make every effort to forget about the stresses you left behind in the outside world. The last thing anyone would want to do is jeopardize that tranquility by being under prepared. Making sure you are well fed, drinking enough water, wearing the proper clothing and able to have a decent means of shelter from the elements, these are the essentials for camping. By having a liquid fuel stove when camping, you will be sure that your experience in the wilderness is everything you could ever want it to be.
