Grayland Beach State Park, located in Washington, is an ocean-front park with many things to do. Whether you want to visit for a day or enjoy the camping facilities, this beautiful park has accommodations for your group. The 412 acres of the park’s great Washington scenery are open all year, and there is no shortage of things to do.

If you’re interested in camping, the park offers yurts, cabins, and platform tents for rent. The yurts are extremely comfortable, featuring a queen-sized futon, three tiered bunk beds, a table with a lamp, and a heater to keep the cold winter nights at bay. Outside, you’ll find a picnic table, deck, and fire grill. Each yurt is in a private area, with natural foliage around to separate your campsite from any others. If you’re not willing to sacrifice comfort in order to spend a night in one of the country’s most beautiful state parks, renting a yurt is one of your best options. And the best part is that all campsites are within walking distance to the ocean.

On the beach, there are plenty of activities. You can ride horses, picnic, fish, or look for shells and other interesting things that may have been washed ashore. But the most famous activity at Grayland Beach State Park is by far flying kites. Almost every day is perfect weather to fly a kite, and it is common to see many kites floating in the air at once along the beach. Whether you make your own kite or pick one up from the store, flying them here on the beautiful beach is a great way to bond with your lover, your children, or your friends.

If you’re more interested in the natural aspects of the park, it is easy to get lost in the splendor of the environment. Not only can you experience a rich variety of sea life, including octopuses, shrimp, clams, fish, and more, but you can also see a diversity of animals on the land as well. While in the park, you have the chance to see many different birds, including hawks, jays, wrens, crows, etc. You may also see coyotes, deer, and raccoons or squirrels while walking through the park’s beautiful countryside. For the outdoor enthusiast, the park is a great place to sit and enjoy the natural wildlife of the planet.

If you get tired of the relaxation of the more natural aspects of the area, Grayland Beach State Park also offers scheduled events to participate in or attend. There are great educational opportunities to learn about the history and culture of the area, including live history presentations, museum tours, and campfire activities. There are also a variety of tours in the area, including lighthouse lantern room tours, gun emplacement tours, hospital tours, and walking tours. There are plenty of places and sites to visit during your stay at the park, so you should never have a boring stay.

At Grayland Beach State Park, you can enjoy the splendor of two worlds, marine and forest, without leaving the area. If you’re looking for a diverse camping or vacation experience, this park has many things to offer your group. During the summer, the park is open from 6:30 am until 10pm, and in the winter 8am until 5pm. However, you get 24 access to the park and its facilities. Grayland Beach State Park has something for everyone, so plan a visit soon!
