    Do you take books?

A comic book, preferably a Garfield comic strip would be good enough to entertain me while I am out in the woods. I hope that a latest edition of car magazine counts as I love to peek in latest cars on sale.

    Dog parks.

Sadly there's no dog park in our area. We have a huge road for morning and afternoon joggers in the neighborhood and the dogs can take a walk or jog with their owners at the street where no or minimal vehicles pass by.

    Canyon hiking

I am planning to have an overnight canyon hiking trip with a friend and we're both clueless and new to it. Is there a canyon hiker out there? Can you share your experience or give us some tips on what to bring for canyon hiking? How do I contact a ranger in case of emergency?

    Fried ravioli

Goodness! That would be pretty mouth-watering for I love eating ravioli but I never thought they can be eaten fried. What do you use to fry them, olive oil or butter?

    Cooking with leaves

It's similar to cooking spring rolls (with meat) except that it is cooked at the camp fire and the wrapper used is either a large cabbage or lettuce leafs. Have you tried cooking this method before?

    New Years Camping?

Family usually gathers with us so we stay home and celebrate the New Year with fireworks and foods. We have never gone out camping at New Year's eve yet.

    Knowing the harmful snakes.

Poisonous snakes like Cottonmouths, Coral snakes, Copperheads and Rattle snakes have certain colors. Cottonmouths are ranged from black to green colors, Coral snakes have black, yellow and red bands, Copperheads have coppery brown to bright orange, peach or silver-pink and rattlesnakes have...

    Caving tattoos

Who has got a caving tattoo or anything related to caves? I saw a caver sporting a bat tattoo on his upper back and I thought it looks so cool on him. I don't know, I would like to have one as well but I'm afraid of needles!

    Watch your step!

Thumper, that is very painful. Usually they take longer to heal. I'm also a natural born klutz but so far I've hurt my right ankle than my left one. I had an accident in a trail once but luckily my right ankle didn't bend. Just a little muscle swelling.

    Camping Essentials

The things that are essential: matches, knife, some shelter and food. Clothing is also included, it's better to bring some warm clothes just in case the climate goes cold.

    Caravan camping

Did anyone here experience caravan camping in their vehicle outdoors? I am thinking of renting one but I need to know what important things should be considered when renting a caravan.

    What won't you?

If camping out, I won't put peanuts on the grill. I love to eat them honey-roasted but I can't grill them. And yes, soup is another meal that I can't put on the grill.

    Beer can chicken?

Coat your chicken with your favorite rub. One thing I know is that an opened can of beer with chicken stand is placed upright inside a cavity of a chicken to sit on it. Then grill it in the oven or charcoal so the chicken will become moist and juicy from inside out. The tip is to put a potato or...

    Coconut cream

Do you have unique recipes to cook at the camp using coconut cream? I don't want to look up at Google, I want to know how a camper cooks it because I am sure it's different from how it is cooked in the kitchen.

    Pie irons?

My wife has stuck it up in our cabinet kitchen and hasn't used it since last year. Maybe we should try using it again to make some good pizza pockets or waffles with hotdog and cheese.
