Barney you are right. Those things are very bad for joints. Hips, and knees do not need that extra abuse.

Most if it is common sense. The difficult part is to stay calm enough to keep your head out of your backside to use it.

Funny guess would have to say my boots. I carry a pack, knife, headlamp, etc but unless out over night the headlamp is a just in case thing. The knife never gets used, and the pack just kinds of holes the other stuff I almost never use. However footwear is always used.
