I used my Dutch oven this time to bake my "Camp Bread" version.
I carefully mixed my Betty Crocker Bisquick ingredients and placed them in a greased small pie pan.
I put the pan into the centre of my Dutch oven.
I had the camp stove burner flame on for 15 minutes, turned it off, and let the oven bake
the bread for another 15 minutes before checking on it.
It came out well.
Not bad in the middle of the wilderness.
A little peanut butter or jam or both made it mighty fine tasting.
It was good for sucking up the succulent juices of the pork chop I cooked.
The Bisquick only cost me a dollar.
