Your first cache placement...

How many caches did you find before you placed your first geo cache? Did you feel comfortable doing it?

I have not done any. I would feel weird doing it, I think. With the maintenance and trying to find a good hiding spot, I do not know how well I would do.

I had about a hundred finds before I put one out. Only due to the fact that I was being hounded by my caching buddy to put one out. Once I did it I was on a roll and ended up putting out 90 or so throughout the years (2004 to present). I know of one guy who put one out before he ever found one. It's no big thing when it get put out, try to get some out just to give back to the activity/hobby. I now have around 1600 finds which is no big thing!
