We get way too much snow in the winter at times to go camping. I'd rather be all warm and cozy in my house than in a tent in the winter. I can't imagine anyone camping in the Winter around the Northeast. Too cold.

I have been scanning the stores for camping clearance. I have found a couple of small utensils that I got for 50 cents a piece. I also bought a tarp for $1.25. You can't beat that. Do you try to buy camping things for next year? Or do you wait until the next time you are heading for the woods?

I am always nervous at this time of year. You hear about so many dogs getting shot because their owners just let them run. They have to have vests on. Some hunters can be trigger happy and they shoot at anything they hear. Do you protect your dogs during hunting season?

I have seen some people come of the lake all tired out. A couple of the guys drive up there with their Kayaks and race each other, up and down the lake. They told me they try to do it every other weekend for exercise. They challenge each other. Oh boy! Seems like to much work for me..LOL

I did not know raccoons would attack. I wonder if they have rabies. I thought that is the only time they became aggressive. My goodness! If I was that poor lady, I would not want to leave my house.

I try to avoid the crowds. We go camping to relax and get away from others. The places we go are usually packed on the holidays.

I have seen these toilets. I actually would like one. We go camping where this is a couple outhouses but I would much rather have something of our own.

I know, it is only October. :) This is when I start thinking about Christmas though. :) Just wondering how many of you trek out into the woods and cut down your own Christmas tree. Do you buy one, get one for free or put up a fake tree.

Christie, I was thinking the same exact thing. I hate winter. I love it as a kid, but as I get older the cold really gets to me. I am miserable during the winter months. It can stay away as long as it wants. :)

My kids are really getting into mountain biking. I do not have much experience. I want to teach them the proper safety tips. Can you guys lay some out for me? What is the most important things I should be telling them? Thanks!

My family did not do a lot this summer. We went on a couple camping adventures and went to Cape Cod once. I am just curious if any of you had a great summer adventure you could share with us?

Oh my gosh! That is just horrible. Pit bulls get a bad rape. For a dog to be that aggressive, something is happening to him. Maybe he is being trained for dog fighting or abused? People make dogs that way. What a shame. The owner of the dog should be held down and let the dog attack him for...

How come you are selling your camper? Are you going to purchase a new one for next year? If I had a camper, I might still be camping. We camp in tents though. It is getting down below freezing temps now. That is to cold for me. My boyfriend would still go. I refuse! lol

OMG! I can not imagine having a snake that long in my yard. That is just crazy! I am assuming they seized him because he was so big? Is there a law about how big of snake you can keep?
