I agree. With 5 people in a pop up, I would get the largest possible. That would be the 16 foot model with a slide out dinette. However, we're talking some money here.

I love winter camping too, but I have the comfort and convenience of a heated pop up.

I enjoy the Federal and the State campgrounds for the convenience of the electric and water hook ups, but sometimes they can get a bit crowded. My favorite times for these campgrounds is the weekend after a holiday weekend.

I also use a couple of electric heaters. I use a separate heavy duty extension cord from the heaters to the campground electric supply. This leaves the pop up power supply free for other electrical requirements. If the electric heaters don't do the job then the pop up's propane furnace cuts on.
