When buying your gear do you go for the big brands or do op for the cheaper ones that you never heard about before? I usually go for the brand names since I'd rather I shell out the extra cash than for my gear to break down in the middle of nowhere.

I usually don't hit the rocks when the weather starts going bad, I hate leaving things half done and knowing myself I'd try to climb in the rain, which would most likely end badly.

This is why I like remote areas which are only accessible by foot, it makes logging impossible so the area is untouched. The other upside is that you can walk for days and you might not run into another person.

I usually have a mp3 player with me, listening to some tunes and staring at the stars is the epitome of a good life in my opinion. I however never considered that I roughed it even once when I was out camping, that would entail that I was missing something I needed and that has never been the case.
