Do any of you think pre-teen girls would be okay? I'm sure I'd do fine but when it's younger kids I always worry. I guess I could take a parents poll to see if they'd even let their daughters go.

Since I go camping with pre-teens a porta-potty is out of the question-not that I mind either. I would be careful where you dump the chemicals. You can probably get some good advice at your local camping store.

I'm looking for things I can make with my GS troop, ages 9-12 around a fire other than s'mores. Does anyone have some easy, unusual ideas? They will be without their cell phones so I can't guarantee how long they'd be willing to sit.:tinysmile_grin_t:

I'm used to Gatorade or water. I sometimes buy those little crystal light things that you can mix with a bottle of water but I haven't tried Powerade. Let us know if it tastes any good.

Are you sure it was red ants and you didn't have something spilled on it while it was in storage? I've never heard of them eating their way through that kind of material.

I always let mine grow and then chop off 3-4 inches and when I do no one seems to notice but me. You must have really had long hair for him to have made such a fuss. Will you be growing it back out?
