Up in the North West Territories, north of BC.... is the Nahanni.

The Nahanni is a river, with 100' falls to be portaged; it's so far north, that twilight stays til near midnight and the skies lighten before 0400, at the end of June.

I see that the tour folks have jumped on the locale; it's a pretty rugged effort, one I'm not tough enough to do anymore.

Canada has some amazing spaces to explore! But the farther north you go the more challenging they get. I'm hoping to have the time to explore those spaces while I'm still fit enough to tackle them!

Babe,
The Nahanni is a legendary river, and I have read many accounts of it. It has some serious and technical rapids. We were just talking about the allure of the North and its rivers recently. When I drive in Alaska I fall in love with a river several times a day.

Where are you from in BC? I have found the women in the north are tougher than the men here.
