Camp oven

Costco - Camp Chef Outdoor Camp Oven with Stove Top

Has anyone used one of these? My friend is thinking about buying one of these for their camp. I have only ever used a 2 burner stove.

It looks interesting, I may have to check it out. It could replace my two burner stove.

Same here. When Its time to replace the 2 burner might just have to look at that.

I looked for the thread but had no luck finding it. I think it is kinda cool, but I don't think it would be practical for carrying to and from a campsite, especially if you are hiking. Maybe if you were going for an extended period of time.

Well hiking would not pratical. But I think winter camping when its snowing or raining it would be fun. When the wind is blowing hard and snowing on you a good big warm meal would be nice. Last year for valentines day me and my wife camped at the wind was blowing so hard,it was snowing and down right cold. We tried to cook steaks but in that wind I could not get the flame to touch the bottom of the pan so we had almost raw steaks huddled up in out tent all wrapped up in coats,gloves,beanies. If I had an oven I might have been able to cook somthing better. So I think winter camping could be fun with one of those.
