What is a creative way to cook fish? A friend of ours dropped off some trout and I have never cooked it before. Any suggestions?

I am not a big fish eater myself but what about something like Beer Batter Fish Fillets? Most guys I know love anything beer related when camping so just add fish and its your dish. :)

I like the seasoned planks that you can find at most any store where they sell the charcoal. Most of the time, you just have to dampen the plank, place the fish on it, and then place it on the grill. Fish doesn't take long to cook at all.

Yeah, what Ground said, if you are going to be cooking it when you are camping then place it on some tin foil covered in butter or olive oil. Then you can season it as you would like to.

I like to fillet them and then pan fry them in a little bit of butter. It doesn't take long, and you don't want to overcook them. I like lemon on mine.

Betty, that is the perfect way to cook trout. And the rest of you remember to use real butter.
