The season started Friday with a simple "weekender" at Durham.
I just wanted to get away and clear my head so to speak.
It rained from when I arrived until I packed up and left for home.
I could see my breath as I placed more layers of clothing on to keep warm.
I walked the trails and visited an empty beach, but more than that I slept well in the evening to the tune of rain tapping on the roof.
I was glad that I brought a winter sleeping bag because the temperature became nippy and the dampness penetrated the skin.
The tent, the extra fly, and the groundsheet are now hung on the indoor clothesline with the large fan blowing away the droplets I brought home.
Next week should be more adventurous.
Following the yellow dots to take me safely back to where I'm camped.
