Okay all you fishermen out there. Let's here the stories about the biggest fish you have ever caught. Real stories--no exaggerating! :tinysmile_tongue_t: Did they put up a good fight?

I have never had to really fight with a fish but I did catch a decent sized one when I was a young teen with a friend of mine and his family. I have no idea what type of fish it was, but at the time it seemed large to me. Then again my first fishing trip I was comparing them to the size of a goldfish too.

I have never had a huge fish on my line, but I can remember one time I thought I did. I fought and fought with it to try to pull it in. All my buddies were standing around me thinking it was a big one as well. I would pull in and it would pull back out. When I finally got it reeled in--somehow, I had a branch with my line caught around it and a little fish caught in the branch with the line around it (almost like a net). It was a pretty funny site.
I am sure I could never do that again!

I have never lived that one down.
