I am considering purchasing a float tube for fishing on small lakes along the shore. I like the idea of minimum impact on the environment and being non-motorized, plus it looks really relaxing. Have you used one and do you like it?
There is an area close by that my family likes to go tubing at so I made the purchase of six of these things and save a ton of money on something we all love.
There are float tubes made specifically for fishing. Some people call them "kick boats". It's basically an inner tube with a seat. It comes with flippers for your feet so you can propel yourself around. I've had one for years and highly recommend it! It will greatly expand your fishing horizons.
We have a ton of tubes that we use in the lake and pool. They are a blast. I don't have any that are fishing ones though, they sound pretty neat too. Our kids are in the tubes all the time, just floating around. When I get in, they try to tip me.
