Horseshoes and camping

My husband loves to play horseshoes so he is all about the horseshoe tournaments when we go camping. Usually he and the other 3 men that camp with us (4 families together) will head to the pits for an afternoon.

The rest of us usually just hike, swim, and paddleboat while they are playing shoes. Of course we go and watch for a couple of games too.

Do you get into horseshoes when camping?

Oh yeah. I actually have pits in my yard. Always find some one willing to toss shoes.

Horseshoes is a lot of fun. We used to play all the time at family reunions.

I'm guessing you all aren't hiking out to a remote location with the horseshoes.

We have horseshoe pits in our back yard too. We all love to play shoes so we make it a point to play when we camp too. Camping is all about fun and relaxation and shoes are the way the guys like to relax. I'm good with that!

Only horseshoes I take are attached to the horse.

I haven't played horseshoes for years but I really enjoy it. Perfect casual game to play over a good conversation as the sun sets.

Yep we love horseshoes too. We don't have to play each time we camp but we normally do. We even let the kids play when it's just us. We also have horseshoe pits in our back yard.

I never have tried, maybe I should look into it. I usually take my re curve bow and practice.
