I recently bought myself a nice camera, and I'm excited to hit the trails and get some nice nature shots. I've got a few questions, though - first, how do I avoid startling wildlife? Second, is there any additional gear I can get to ensure that my camera doesn't get damaged by the elements?

For your first question, I suggest that you learn the skill of camouflaging and being stealthy.

There are many additional gears you might want to purchase for your camera's protection. Sometimes you can even find those in the manual of your camera.

Wherever you bought your camera from, go back and ask what type of accessories they have. A good outdoor equipment store might have some too. I'm sure it won't be too hard to find.
