Up Hill and Down

I was just wondering what everyone preferred as a campsite? Do you usually camp up on a hill or do you usually find a pasture closer to the water? I would rather go up on a hill a bit just in case we have a flash flood but that's just me. What do you prefer?

I like up at the top of a hill. It's generally less wet, and you get a better view.

You don't have to camp on a hill. It's just not a good idea to camp in a belly. Aslight round or flat that is not at the base of a watershed is fine.

I've almost been caught in floods before so I usually get as high as I can to get out of the way. I'm a heavy sleeper especially if I've been hiking all day and I don't want to get caught unawares.
