Those two words should never be used to describe a hunt. But that is what this morning was like. November 1 is tomorrow and it's almost 80 degrees outside. I'm ready for cold weather.
I actually grabbed the muzzle loader and went out for a few hours this morning and I say the exact same thing. NASTY WEATHER! I can handle wet, I can handle cold, hot and most other conditions but I sure do NOT do humid. It makes me cranky!
I loved it! Of course, I wasn't out hunting so perhaps that makes a difference. We had a perfectly lousy summer so it's nice to get a surprise shot of warmth so late in the fall.
Humidity is a bummer anytime of year. I live on the gulf coast where we are humid 365 days a year. It makes the heat feel hotter in the summer and the cold feel colder in the winter.
The humidity dropped considerably Saturday night and I'm thankful for that. It was down in the 30's last night and the deer are moving like crazy because of it. Love it during the rut. Best time of the year.
