Do You Hike on the Path or Stray Away?

I don't like to stay on a hiking path too much. It gets old very fast, especially when there aren't all that many trails where I live. I tend to stray off the path more often than not. I like searching for creeks and streams where my dog can get a drink before we trek deeper into the woods. It's also nice because there's less noise from other hikers going the same path.

I too like to get off the beaten trial and venture out. You can find some really nice places to chill out and kick back.

I don't like the path to much but if u r in a park u have to stay in the trail. What I like to do and I do very often is when I find a good area I want to explore I go to any satellite map site and look for the area where I want to walk, take an aerial pic of the good spots and go. p.s. U can even send then to ur cell, If u have a GPS much better. Good hiking.
