Patience with kids

I really think that when you go fishing with little kids you have to have patience. When I take my kids, I leave my stuff behind so I can focus on helping them.

When the children don't know yet the intricacies of fishing and how to keep quiet, it is impossible to go fishing. You have to teach them first.

I like your approach. They won't learn unless you teach them, and if you are trying to focus on your own fishing then that won't be possible. Sounds like you are taking the right approach.

Of course, when kids go on the trip there is no enjoyment, at least not to the fullest. So forget about yourself and give your kids some time to remember.
