I went riding this last weekend and my favorite horse must have had something against me. We were trail riding and I got off to give him a break. We were going to take an hour or so break so I took off his saddle and his blanket. When I went to put the saddle back on him after cooling down, he stepped over, placed his foot on my foot and torqued it around!!! I said a few choice words and tried to push him off but he wouldn't budge. My buddy had to come and lead him off. I don't know if he intended to do that or not but we had to end our ride and go back to the vehicles and horse trailer. I went to the ER because my foot was hurting and swelling so bad (I had remembered to take the boot off though). Turns out the old boy broke three bones in my foot and tore a ligament loose. I'm out for the count at least for 8 weeks and I can't put any weight on my foot for all of that time. So I guess trail riding, walking or outdoor activities are severely curtailed for me for a while. Dratted horse.
