HikerJoe is a button pusher.
:-( I had heard that he was ruggedly handsome.Don't let Joe kid you. He looks just like Brad Pitt under that bag.
He's telling the truth about the alcohol though. He actually shared some of it with me. Good stuff!
You like the disgusting hippie look?Raggedly and/or ruggedly handsome would be ok ;-)
I agree but it is all done for humor's sake. There's nothing wrong with picking a fight as long as it is designed to stimulate the mind into debate and does not deteriorate into mindless name calling.HikerJoe is a button pusher.
I think a good majority of people you find on Facebook are selectively truthful. They're not going to post vacation pics of when they only went to Walmart.Recently I have turned to Facebook to try and stay in touch with my niece and nephew. They are about 14 and 19. I have been absolutely amazed that young people apparently now make up most of what is on their sites. They describe themselves as being married when they are not, working for the CIA or underwater bikins inspectors.
This brings up a much larger question for members of the forum. Do people tell the truth? How much do they exaggerate their own experiences to sound convincing? Please give your opinion about the level of honesty on the internet in general and the forum in particular.
It is hard to talk openly and honestly with a person when you don't even know their name and when you cannot watch their eyes while talking with them. Body language also is important when trying to figure another's honesty. There are a multitude of "tells" that a person has that I might unconsciously be noticing when having an open and honest heart to heart discussion. The subject I am trying to generate discussion about here is honesty. It is one of the human traits I take very seriously, and I don't really see the humor in it. Honesty is one of the fundamental tenants of all close human relationships. Like my close friend Rudy says " Our friendship is based on no bull ****."
Just another TALL TALE grandpa! You know that I have a vivid imagination... ;-)Wow Judy, you lost me back there turning $2 into $40K. Can we go back and go over that again? :tinysmile_fatgrin_t
