Last year I took one of my buddies out fishing and it was the first time he had been in a lightweight boat. He cast off while standing and lost balance. He didn't flip the boat but tipped it good enough that he fell in. I call him Splasher now.
The one I like best is a Coleman Double Pillow. I can't remember the exact name but it airs up with a little pump that has batteries and takes very little effort. It wasn't very expensive and I think I got it at Gander Mountain or Cabelas.
I have saw many pairs going on ebay for cheap but they don't sell them locally so I'm not sure what stores would have them. I saw a post on here about making some but I didn't read it. You might check it out though.
I don't really do it for trekking since I don't go enough these days but I do set goals all the time. I do it to push myself and see just how far I can progress.
If you are going to be around water at all then I would go for the better quality ones too. If you aren't sure which ones are better then you can look at reviews online. Cameras are too expensive to ruin because of $10 or something you could save.
I shop at Sportsmans Guide and Gander Mountain mainly. I also buy a good bit from a guy here in town who runs a pawn shop. He can order just about any hunting supplies I need.
Teens are very immature sometimes but they are teens so we can't expect too much out of their little brains. I'm sure they all thought they were being "cool" or whatever the term is they use now.
My aunt just brought over our Christmas and she got us a new cook set for camping and it is pretty neat. It even has a toaster for over the fire! An egg cooker too!
You are so creative! I guess being a guy makes me a lot less creative than I would like. I bet your kids are never bored. Most women would not do that because it is extra work!
A buddy of mine has a ProCat (I didn't know they were that expensive) and he loves it. I have always poked fun at him because "real men don't need heaters when they camp".
Don't you hate it when the weather messes with your plans, or in your case that might almost be a family tradition! We haven't had any bad snow yet. Doubt we do this year.
It is always interesting to hear about other people's weather but I'll let you all keep it over there okay? I have enough ice without snow right now. Need to let this thaw off first.
I can relate. We haven't gotten much snow at all this winter compared to what I was hoping we would end up getting. I wanted to play some while I was off for the holidays!
