    trotlines & catfish

    I also like to use chicken liver. I bait my lines out at night then go check them in the morning. I haven't had any problems catching anything but catfish on my lines. I do have some pretty good size fish that have twisted my lines up that I can't say for sure were catfish though.

    Cabin prices at Yogi Bear

    We have stayed at them in Virginia and Florida years ago. The prices were near the same all them years ago. Their resorts are full of activities for kids to stay occupied with. You get more for the money than just the cabin.

    Howdy

    LOL I was just talking about pulling some weeds and tending to the vegetables but now I can play a mean fiddle when I am in the mood for it. :) I worked at least 60 hours a week so certainly am enjoying my time off.

    Who PAYS to camp?

    I have always wondered what fun it is to pay to camp some place. Why not just drag up to the woods and pop up your tent or pull in your camper? What draws people to paid sites? I suppose it is all those fancy amenities but that just isn't camping in my opinion.

    Giant Tents!

    I have saw them things from time to time. I prefer my old pup tent I got at the old GI Surplus. It ain't much but it keeps me dry when I need it and keeps the varmits out. I haven't ever understood why some people get such fancy things when going on a camping trip. It just takes the meaning out...

    Howdy

    Howdy! My name is Jimmy but most people just call me Pepaw. I'm a retired dry wall installer. Just retired this past year in fact. I do a lot of hunting and fishing in my off time and I still enjoy fiddling in my garden in the evenings. Now you know me. :) Not much but it is what it is.
