I read recently that toothpaste works on insect bites. I just got back from coastal camping in the Carolinas and between ticks, mosquitos and fire ants I had to do something....Colgate Total eliminated all itching and the swelling from the tick is diminishing after a couple of hours. Now if only I could find a cure for insomnia after getting home from a camping trip!:tinysmile_tongue_t:

Interesting on the toothpaste. I'll have to remember that.

No one knows if it is the mint in the toothpaste or the floride or some other ingredient. Some have claimed results from jellyfish stings and bee stings.

I know some type of TP works for bee stings but off hand I have no idea which brand it is, something they use inside the TP is what helps to get the stinger out. I have never heard of it working for other bites though.

I've used mud for bee stings. I think I've heard of toothpaste, but do not remember.
