Do you cook over the campfire?

We use a small propane grill when we go camping and really don't try to do anything more complicated than smores with the campfire. Do you use your campfire to cook?

I do cook with the campfire. Cooking with campfire really takes time and tears from the smoke. But in my humble opinion, that's the real camping. I would leave all the comforts at home whenever I'm outdoors.

One of the few ways I'll eat a hot dog is if cooked over a camp fire. Marshmallows never taste better then "cooked" over a fire either.

Well, we don't get too complicated with our campfire cooking, but we went ahead and bought a couple of pie irons which are like sandwich makers on long rods that you can put over the fire. There are some creative recipes, but the kids are happy just making grilled cheese with them. :tinysmile_tongue_t:
