We are currently under a fire ban in our area. Things have been so dry for so long, it' very easy for fires to get out. We have already had a couple of unintentional fires and now even campfires and bonfires are banned. Is everyone else having the same trouble. I'm in the mid eastern part of the US.

I've heard that from quite a few places on the East Coast. It seems that while some got an excess of water in some areas, others didn't get enough. It's a shame that it doesn't balance out for all of us but I guess that's not the way it goes.

Up here in BC we are in our wet season now, but summer months here are usually under a fire ban. Most summers we camp with no fire. Not so bad as far as warmth goes, but it sure makes the mosquitoes unbearable.

I'll bet that puts a crimp on the things you can cook or do you take a grill with you? We are just now getting some rain mixed with sleet and snow so I think our dry season may be over-or at least I hope it is.
