We are not going camping anywhere right now, but you know my niece came to visit the other day and wanted to backyard camp. This would not be such an issue, but its been down in the 30's already and the wind has not stopped for a week.
Phew, that sounds so very cold! I've backyard camped before and it's loads of fun, but not with temperatures in the 30s! I don't think that would be very safe.
You should have made a tent inside and camped there! We have done this before with my kids. We set up a tent, make smores in the microwave and jiffy pop popcorn over the stove. It is fun for the kids.
We use tent warmer to protect us from cold when we camped at our backyard with kids. As long as the family stays together, the moment would be perfect.
