Google Streetview has come to the South Kaibab and the Bright Angel trails!

Here is the South Kaibab near the start of a rather vertical section about 3/4's of the way down:

Now, if they do the Nankoweap Trail I'll be impressed!

I could see the use for that from many people that either can not or do not want o head out on their own. Nice find there, I bet a friend of mine is going to be quite happy when I send her over to this (she was recently wheelchair bound).

That's true, carmen. But looking on the brighter side of things, it can also help people to convince others to try out a hiking trail. I just sent the link over to my friend and suggested for us to give the trail a try (he just started taking on hiking). We're planning to head over there mid-next month.

Dang, that South Kaibab trail looks rather hairy, don't it? Not the place for a family hike, I'd say. That looks like it would be quite the challenge, even for an experienced hiker.

Sometimes the Bright Angel trail is narrow and scary, too, esp. since there are mule trains to deal with.
