Well, we've had posts on movies and on songs, etc.

What were/are some of your favorite TV mini-series?

Mine are...in more-or-less proper order:

Sharpe's Rifles...starring Sean Bean. England VS Napoleon's troops in France and Spain.
Captain and Commander...starring Russel Crowe. British Navy at war c. 1800s.
Shogan...also-starring John Rhyse Davies. c. 1600s Japan. Samurai vs.
English visitors.


AS you can see, I sort of lean toward the Brits. All of the above are some of my favorite performers.

Off the top of my head, I really liked Lonesome Dove. I recently watched it again on the Reelz channel.

I liked "Centennial", until it got up to the beginning of the 20th century. The rest was pretty tedious.

"Lonesome Dove" was good- better then the book IMHO. The book was just TOO long.
