I totally agree with wvbreamfisherman...I have use expensive watches yea...the ones with all the bells for outdoor gear heads, and the last 6 years have the Timex Expedition series. This watch is my favorite....simple and well worth the price and some.
I haven't worn a watch in quite a few years but when I did I always wore the Timex Expeditions. They never left me down and I never saw the need for a more upscale watch.

I used to have a Swiss Army watch which was dependable, now have some Italian analog watch with a nylon band that I like because it is indestrutible and has a light for checking the time at night.

I use my grandfather's pocket watch for going out.

Thirty years ago I was sitting around a campfire in my front yard with a good friend. He took off his watch and threw it in the fire. It burned green and blue flames for quite a while. My friend announced "No more cheap watches, next time I am going to spend at least 15 bucks."
