Well, now I have something else to look for besides rocks. I just read an article about a woman who found a meteorite while she was out walking her dog. The meteorite has been valued at $20,000!

Hi...

I'm not surprised...some of then...like that one...are much sought after by collectors. There even lately have been TV shows about guys searching for them...and reaping nice rewards for those found. Even the smaller ones.

Wait...what was that? I thought I heard something go "thud" in my driveway...I'll be right back...!!

Is the value based on the minerals or makeup of the actual meteorite? Or is it simply that people are eager to own something that traveled through space and the object has no intrinsic value?

How will I know one when I see it?
You'll hear a loud screaming noise then a crashing through the trees overhead. This will be followed by an explosion that will knock you on your butt. Get up and go to the impact site and start digging. You'll find it.

WARNING: IF LITTLE GREEN MEN COME OUT OF IT, iT IS NOT A METEORITE!
