    Soap and detergent in rivers

And keep in mind that if it says biodegradable soap doesn't actually mean it won't harm fish and such.

    Coal Baked Potatoes

Ah yes, corn still in the husk. We have been doing that at home on the grill for years. Soak them in salt water all night and grill in the husk. Yummy stuff.

    Scuba gear

That's a good list flash. For no particular reason I've stuck with Oceanic. Seems to work well for me. I do have an old metal SP regulator which keeps the mouth from getting dry verses the plastic reg. Love my split fins!

    Can't Equalize

I always take either sudafed or benadryl before a dive but check with your doctor. If you have any heart issues, some over the counter drugs can increase heart rate and that would not be good if you go deep.

    When See A Shark...

Stay below them if you can. I know I'm crazy and have actually tried to catch them. That seemed to surprise them and with a couple of flips of the fins and they were out of sight. Amazing how fast they are. If you have to defend yourself either find a way to hit them in the nose or put your head...

    Depth of the Dive

Completely agree. 130 feet max is the general rule for ow(open water) certification, although I did have to go 145 once to chase a buddy that wasn't paying attention. Yes, I ran out of air about 30 ft. deep or so but they train you how to handle that. Advanced classes will train you to go...

    Scuba dive certification?

It would make it much easier if you got certified before. Contact your local dive shop. I've heard not so good stories about getting certified on cruises.

The coolest thing you've ever seen

So many cool things. Whale sharks are awesome. As far as getting better the deeper you go, that depends. The most color like with coral will be in the shallower depths, down to maybe 30 feet. Everything loses color the deeper you go. What you will find in the deep are ship wrecks that are my...

    Hard?

Hard? Depends on how comfortable you are in the water. Are you a good swimmer? Sinus problems could be an issue. It's like anything else. You get better with practice.
