    Llamas and Alpacas?

Why would you want to ride one? They are the most nasty critter that hauks lugies the size of softballs. I will never have one on my place ever again!! I originally bought one to run with the goats, traded the idiot off and bought a donkey. much better critter!!

What is your favorite camping breakfast?

My favorite camping breakfast would be bread with fried egg and coffee. We don't have big breakfast because almost everyone is lazy to wake up in the morning. So whoever wakes up first will usually cook food that is easy to prepare like frying egg and boiling water for coffee.

    Turtles

Most of the turtles here aren't big enough to be worth it. Only the snappers are big enough. Really, people in this state don't hunt, anyway. Not unless they can sit there with a high powered rifle and bring down something big so they can waste most of it.

    Doomsday Preppers

I saw it I thought it was cool and you just have to ignore the fact that they edit it to make the people paying attention to what's going on in the world sound nuts.

Myth? Or real mountain lion attack thwarted by...

So he's a "naturist" hiking through the woods, getting attacked by mountain lions and high-fiving bears. He's lucky his name isn't "Claude Balls"

    Doomsday Preppers

When Rita kicked ass on SW Louisiana I went weeks without power or running water. National Guard couldn't get in because of all the downed trees (and they were all still in New Orleans). Since then, I keep a Hurricane Box. It's a large sterelite tote filled with food, TP, batteries, weather...

    Semi Roughing It

Sounds like you loved it. I'd prefer a trailer over a tent for camping any day. My mother and step-father have a little land with a trailer on it. They were proud of their outhouse that they built. I didn't understand, but they loved their crappy creation.

    Head Lamp

I have a sort of cheap Coleman headlamp. It's a plain two settings white light that does the trick for me. It's got pretty good battery life, too. Sure, it doesn't have the super long range of some of the more expensive models. Then again I use it in the woods most of the time, and it shines...

    The Bravest Or Craziest Camper

Smart girl. If her dog had confronted the bear, it could have turned into an ugly incident. I hope you don't leave your coolers outside anymore. Sorry, but that was irresponsible and stupid.

    Age

I've been camping since before I was 1 year old. My daughter, too. It's a lot of work... and the "type" of camping is different (or was in my daughter's case). We did 'Car Camping'... Did I mention it's a lot of work? For my winter trips I had my kids wait until they were 6... That was a...

    Are you really camping?

If you consider it camping..... its camping for you. I hate when people judge other peoples camping style. If it works for you and makes you happy and comfortable.... call if anything you want

What is the worst thing about camping?

I am quite surprised to seem some of your responses. I think it is funny that the worst thing is gear addiction and not being able to camp enough. hehe. I'm not bothered much by bugs, but I don't like when the mosquitos are around my kids. We usually do a heavy duty grass spray down before...

How do you like to camp?

I camp for several reasons. One is because I'm too far out to get back, two is because I am on an extended hunt or a fishing trip that doesn't allow one to go home every evening. I've camped in crowded areas but I certainly don't prefer it. I'd rather listen to nature than six different genres...
