Blue Crabbing

Anyone here a crabber? My boyfriend goes. He gets some nice blue crabs. Very tastey when steamed with a little butter garlic dipping sauce.

I love crabs. I boil them with garlic besides using a garlic butter sauce. I also use the old bay spices. You can freeze them right after you catch them. You can then have fresh crabs whenever you want.

I don't think I've had blue crabs, but I like the varieties I've tried.

I've had dungeoness, and I guess king crab. I don't use much melted butter on mine though.

Are blue crabs much different than the other kinds?

I do not think there is much of a difference in taste. They are good though. I still remember as a kid going crabbing in the Long Island Sound. Even managed to haul up a blow fish a few times which was cool. I mostly remember the cold when crabbing though.
