Whar about a state park that has rentals for yurts or simple cabins? They typically have bunks. Or I have known people who throw a real bed mattress in the back of the truck or suv.
Sounds like a swell suggestion, ponderosa! That would work especially if the mom will be camping alone.

Does she have trouble with high stairs? To enter our camper you must step up. If it's sort of high, & step stool would be a good idea.

Are you planning on sleeping in a tent, camper, or cabin? If you are sleeping in a tent or cabin, there might be mattresses that will work for her back. If you are planning on sleeping in a tent, then there are a lot of air mattresses that you can bring. You just want to make sure that the tent is big enough to accommodate the air mattress while still leaving you room to sleep.
