Poor Man's Steak - Dutch Oven Recipe

2 lb pkg Ground beef 1 1/3 c Milk
2 tsp Salt Margarine
1/4 tsp Pepper 2 cans Mushroom Soup
2 c Cracker Crumbs 1 c Water

Mix together meat, salt, pepper, crumbs, and milk. Pack into loaf pans.
Let stand in refrigerator overnight or as least 6 hours. Cut into slices and brown in margarine. Mix soup with 1 c of water and pour over meat placed in dutch oven. Bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours.

That actually sounds really good! I don't see why it would need to set for 'that' long, though.

I don't know. Sounds like a hot mess to me lol I hate when hamburger meat is called steak. You actually know where steak comes from, hamburger you don't know what part of the cow you're eating. With all that said I will try it thanks lol

Poor Man's Steak II
Ingredients
3 lb. ground beef
1 cup cracker crumbs
2 eggs
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Mix ingredients well and divide in 8 equal parts. Form each portion in shape of T-bone steak. Place on greased grill over hot coals and cook on each side about 15 minutes.

POOR MAN'S STEAK

1 lb. hamburger
1/3 c. Ritz crackers, crushed (8 crackers)
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 can mushroom soup

Roll hamburger mixture flat between wax paper. Cut into pieces. Brown in skillet on both sides. Put in baking dish and add mushroom soup on top. Bake 1 hour at 300 degrees.

1 c. chopped onion
Salt & pepper to suit your taste

Mix all the ingredients together. Then press into a large flat pan. Let this set overnight in the refrigerator.
Cut in squares, roll in flour and fry until brown. Then put the browned pieces in a casserole and add 1 can cream of mushroom soup mixed with 1 can water. Bake slowly for 2 hours.
