When you hear the word wilderness, what does it mean to you? What do you consider wilderness parks?

Wilderness to me is expansive, uninhabited, unadulterated land. Woods, forests, swamps, wide open pastures, whatever. As long as it hasn't been changed by man in anyway and there is a lot of space or land to it, that's wilderness.

I don't know that I have ever been in true wilderness. I agree that it's comprised of areas that have not been touched by humanity. It's okay for people to have traveled there, but the landscape and terrain should not have been devastated.

There's what I think wilderness really is, like what you see in nature shows. Where man really does not have an impact, and his presence is not seen in any way.

Then, there's what I personally experience. I grew up in a big city. So, whenever I stop seeing houses or hearing any kind of traffic, and I see only grass, tress, hills and other various forms of nature, I feel like I'm in the wilderness.
