    Kings Island

This weekend I went to Kings Island for the first time. It was a lot of fun. I was really impressed with their selection of roller coasters and other rides! It was a bit expensive. Tickets were $52 an adult and $32 a child. We discovered that the Kroger a few miles away sold tickets for $20...

    Bike accident

That is terrible. I hope the lady stopped and tried to help. I have never had a speeding ticket and I am proud to say so. Why speed, I don't need to be in a hurry, especially to die or kill.

Do leaches die in the fall?

Grandpa, you will have to tell us what your secret is. It really depends on the type of leach. Some only live 3 or 4 months and other live many years.

    End Of Summer Bargains

I got my kids life jackets for next year. This was the last year for these, they are pretty old and beat up and the kids have grown a lot since I got them. I saw kids jackets on sale so I got them.

    Largest Shark?

The lucky thing about that shark is that it is not a natural predator so tends not to eat people. If it did it could eat a boat full of people in one bite!

    He walked away

Nice! I am glad to hear he did the right thing. Sometimes I think my kids don't listen to me. Then they do something out of the blue and I realize that they do.

    Inspiration

I would say the most inspiring places for me are along the east coast. I think there is something so magical about the ocean, dolphins and beaches.

    Kids gone camping

My dad showed up today and asked to take all of my kids on a spur of the moment camping trip. I threw some bags together for them and said go for it! I am happy for the kids, but jealous. Wish I could drop everything and go too!

    Swimming In Ponds

Yeah, stagnant ponds can have bacteria and other things in them that could make you sick. I suppose it depends on how well you know the pond and if it is clean.

    Need a child carrier

What type of around town carriers do you have. We always used a Baby Bjorn because we liked to be able to see the child and keep them close to us.

    No label tablet computer

You made me curious so I went to look it up. By no-label do you mean generic tablets? That was the only search term I could get to return anything. I found these generic tablets for between $105 and $225.

    Walking Stick

While hiking this weekend my wife and I found this neat little guy. The engineering of the walking stick is so incredible. It really does look like a stick! I am always amazed when I find these.

    Music in nature

I sometimes like to hike with my guitar. I know it sounds nuts, but I never know when something in nature might inspire me. Does anyone else take a musical instrument with them in to the woods?

    Some people sink?

I have always been able to float, and so could everyone I know, that I know of that is. I have a new friend who doesn't do water activities because he claims that he can not swim well or float because he sinks. Is that true, do some people sink instead of float?

    Sleeps ???

I always find that the estimates for how many people a tent can sleep is too high. Sure if it says and 8 person tent and you all squeeze in it might sleep 8, but not comfortably or with any extra space for stuff. I always subtract 2 from the number.

Nice back pack $20 at Good Will

I have given some nice tents and other camping gear to Good Will when I got new stuff. I usually ask my family first, but if they don't want it off it goes to Good Will.

    Water Rescue

You might be able to get the neighboring county to get you versed on what you need. You might even be able to learn from them by tagging along on some of their runs.

    Chiggers, what are they?

What are chiggers? I always hear people talking about them and complaining about them, but I have no idea what they are. Are they some kind of bug?

    Depth of the pond

When you go fishing how important is the depth of the pond? Do you feel that deeper ponds make for better fishing? Or do you prefer larger shallower ponds?

Using a smaller fish to catch a bigger fish

I have seen that happen. You catch a little fish and a bigger fish follows it in. I have never caught anything that way though. Maybe I should give it a try.
