I'm all about layers and layers of whatever will keep me warm. I typically do not like being cold so I make sure I take more than enough of anything that will block the cold!

Holidays are the worst time to camp in my opinion. Everybody seems to be there and I like to camp for peace - not to listen to everyone else's music, kids and everyday loudness! >:o

Add me to the carp is crap list. I don't know anyone who keeps them. I have kept catfish and it's common for people in my locality to keep them but I know some people think they are nasty.

Um, that's a pretty bad injury! Razor blades are really dangerous and I've heard of a lot of people doing similar damage to themselves. Glad you didn't lose any appendages!

I'd check your local listings on craigslist first and then places like ebay and maybe amazon? I don't have experience with a two seater but I'd imagine they are a blast to ride!

Oh, good point about turning snow into water. It's harder to come up with water in the desert. I dislike cold weather so the idea of being in snow bothers me. lol

Say you're dumped in the wild to survive a week on your own. Would you rather be somewhere in extreme heat or somewhere snowy and cold as heck?

I've been tubing a lot and it depends on where we go if we blow them up prior to travel. If we travel longer than 40 or 50 miles then we usually wait to pump them upon arrival.

I feel lucky that I haven't had to get rid of any of my extra "toys" around the house. If I had a boat it would be hard to part with it. I'd cry. lol

I like the heat but it does not like me. I get dehydrated very easily and have to be extra careful because I pass out at the drop of a hat! When it's over 95 I usually stay inside or else...

Have you checked craigslist lately? Wow, everyone and their brother is selling a boat! I've never seen such an overflow of boats that no one wants. I guess it's due to the economy.

I don't own a big boat but I've been on a few in my time. Some of the best parties I've been to have been on the lake. It's always fun swimming and being with friends in the sun.

I have bought some of the long, thin lighters for cheap and they didn't light very well. The flame was small. Where's the best place to buy lighters that will work well?

I've never made this but wanted to throw in my two cents. Those soup packets tend to be very salty. You may not need extra salt. I made something recently and could hardly eat it because of the salty flavor.

I like leaving everything behind and being somewhere new. When I am in the woods I sometimes feel like I am the only one left on Earth. It's a very surreal experience.
